I met a great gal on Etsy who LOVES fabric so much that she married it!  Hehe!  No, she didn't marry it, but she opened a fabulous fabric shop called Plum Patchwork.  Her name is Jessica... an automotive engineer by day and a quilt master extrordinaire by night. 

She is generously providing today's giveaway!

She started Plum Patchwork when she realized that as much as she loves quilting, her greatest love is keeping on top of the latest fabric trends and shopping for the newest and hottest collections. Opening a fabric shop was the natural way to indulge that passion without the need to appear on a very special episode of "Hoarders: Buried Alive."  

She an expert at identifying and hunting down specific fabrics - so if you're looking for something specific, contact her via her Etsy shop and she'll do her best to find it for you!

Oh the JOY - Freebie Friday!

Sometimes, you meet a new friend...

and from the moment she speaks her first words, all the years you did not know her no longer exist.

She knows exactly who you are, what troubles your mind. Your heart. 

She not only puts into words that which you long to hear but also the words you need to hear.

And you become changed.

I have recently made a friend like that.  And she doesn't even know it yet.

I had not known much of the blogging world until I decided a blog would be a great way to journal our experience ...and let the whole world know what we were doing at the same time! 

As if the whole world would care.

I began looking, searching, finding blogs to get inspiration on how to even embark this endeavor.  And I remembered... I had heard of a blog.  Unknowing that I would find more than a successful blog... I found wisdom.  The Lord, in His GOODNESS, reached through the miles of cyberspace, through the heart of a servant girl, just to touch mine.

My new friend is Ann Voskamp.  She shares her gift of eloquence and annointed wisdom on her blog at http://www.aholyexperience.com/.  I've linked to her site quite a bit in the mere two weeks that my blog has been telling our story.

Three Ways to Win! - Freebie Friday

Good day!  Any time you have the chance to win something as cool as today's freebie, how can it be anything but?

My friend, Jessica, at Jeca Creations, has offered up a handmade tea/coffee cozy (perfect for almost any mug) to keep your fingers cool and your drink hot.  This is one of those things that just makes you feel special.  Like using the fine china for an ordinary dinner or drinking water from stemware.  Isn't it fabulous??  Some people really have talent!  But the saying goes: You've got to enter to win... 

Jessica is a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother of 2 wonderful girls. She is also mom to a blind Kai Ken puppy named Tiger Lilly, a Dachshund named Thor, a cat named Fallon and two gerbils Rocky and Bullwinkle.  She is proud to say that both of their dogs and cat were rescue animals.

"After having my first daughter three years ago I felt my 'craftiness' triple. I love to make things that I think are practical and fun. This all started by making items I thought my oldest daughter would like or needed. I learned how to sew when I was in junior high and I learned to knit over Christmas 2009. For my first knitting project, I chose to make a blanket for my second daughter who was born March 2010. I was pretty excited that I had taught myself to knit and wanted to explore more stitches and different yarns. Because of this I chose to open up an Etsy shop. I hope you enjoy my items and I am always taking special orders."
